Our Mission The European Union Association promotes a better understanding of The European Union priorities and policies among international partner countries around the world and at the United Nations European and North American Offices. The European Union Association promotes a better understand of the European Union in cooperation with various partners including European Union representatives, EU Member Countries, NGOs, Academic Experts, Civil Rights Activists. The EU Association also works in cooperation with the UN offices in Rome (FAO), Geneve, Vienna, New York, the EU Delegation to the United Nations, EU Delegations to the United States as well as EU member states representative offices, EU partners around the world, and the members of the UN Family of Nations within the UN General Assembly and Security Council. History The first groups of European Union Citizen activists founded the European Business Forum at New York University in 1987. In 1996 another groups the EU Students Association was founded at NYU, in 2000 another EU Association Group was incorporated as a non governmental organization in North America and in Rome Italy (EU) Giuseppe Sergi and Akeel Haider belong to the EU Association in New York, Raffaele Pelliccia, Calro Carrozza, Hans Jorg Schneider Hartwig and Francesco Rizzo Marullo among other members are part of the European Union Association/Associazione Unione Europea which operates representing reference offices from Italy, Berlin and Luxembourg. The European Union Association chapters in Europe and in North America have been operating as Non-Profit Organization devoted to the cause of global cooperation for more than 20 years.
