The staff are lovely: very nice and helpful and make your stay pleasant. This is a very out of the way area but it’s a lovely quaint hotel. View is lovely as well - very “Utah” I would stay here again. I might even try to return during warmer weather and try the yurts!

Matt has taken great care of us for a couple of years. It’s a good getaway, and the restaurant is worth a stop for lunch!
Sparkling clean room! Bed was comfortable! Shower was nice! Friendly staff! On site restaurant serves delicious food! Wish there was little more light in the shower area! Also, Internet was not working and nor was the cell service (Tried AT&T and Verizon and neither worked). Neither of this is a reflection on the property. It is truly sad that at this day and age, there are places where Internet and cell service are non-existent.
We had a lovely experience at the San Juan Inn. Beautiful property right on the river. Staff was very friendly and gave us a tour of the grounds and had recommendations for recreating in the area. We actually chose to stay in the yurt which was beautiful and surprisingly spacious and had direct views of the Mexican Hat rock formation.
Great place to stay overnight between Utah and Colorado. Monument Valley and Valley of the Gods are very close from San Juan Inn. We tried a yurt, which is a small house adopted from Indian home to a hotel or motel room. Very comfortable and in an isolated location outside of village and away from main road. It was cool!
Very nice place to stay. Rooms are clean and presented nice. Nothing fancy but a great place to stay traveling thru monument valley area. People at Check in and at restaurant all very nice. Food was great for supper and breakfast. Loved setting outside in the evening! Would recommend to friends to stay here!
Food are really good, staff there are very nice as well!
This is a very cool hotel! It's nice that all of their rooms have front door views of the San Juan River Canyon as it runs through the Mexican Hat, Utah. The motel Lobby and Trading Post are a fun place to pick up tourist knick-knacks and some craft artwork. The restaurant serves pretty good food and is a nice place to try out a Navajo hamburger! It is also awesome that this hotel is pet-friendly. The only thing that keeps it from a five star rating is the shower. If you are squeamish about showering exposed from the waist up by a window then make sure you're very selective in the room you get at check-in! To be fair, the window is opaque. However, the shower is very small:-)
