My family has been working with Michael Cohen & Associates for the past 3-4 years. He helped us set up all the legal needs for my father-in-law and at the point that we had to start taking full care of him, we were legally prepared to proceed. This relieved us of so much strain and stress. Mike and his associate, Donna Cooper, have been more than we could have ever hoped for in helping us get my father-in-law approved for medicaid/medicare and then helping us set us his estate. Donna has always helped us with all the paperwork and answered every question that we have ever had. They are quick to respond and explain in detail the processes so we understand what is happening at all times. I was fortunate enough to attend Mr. Cohen's workshop he has to help people who are not sure where to turn to for elder law. I highly recommend attending one of his workshops. After attending, I meet with Mr. Cohen to discuss some legal matters regarding my parents' estate. Mr. Cohen was very forthcoming in assisting me and all necessary paper work was completed and I really thought this would be last the time I would need his assistance, I was wrong! My mom mother's health took a turn and we made the decision, she needed care we could not provide for her at home. I can't say enough good things about Michael Cohen, elder law attorney, and his paralegal and case manager, Donna Cooper! My mom's application for medicaid was complicated, with a switch from a Star Plus application to nursing home medicaid in the middle of the process. Donna was an absolute godsend all the way through the process, answering an abundance of questions via phone and email. She even made phone calls when my application stalled and figured out what was going on in a very complicated system. Mr. Cohen was so easy to talk to, and had a calm and reassuring presence as he guided me through each stage of the process. I could not possibly have filed my mom's application on my own.
