Excellent experience for professional headshots. We were greeted promptly at our appointment time. They provided plenty of coaching during the shooting process, and they stopped at many points during the process to show us the images and make sure they were in line with our expectations. Very quick turnaround. Quality results.

Unfriendly post-shoot support. Lisa absolutely refused to let us purchase wedding film in a non-cash sale, which seems extremely sketchy. She also essentially said that if we did not purchase according to her terms, she would throw away the film. The photos were from my parents' wedding -- of which they have no film or negatives despite hiring the Carrs. It's unsavory that in light of holding the only film of their special day, and being featured on the cover of The Knot, Lisa would prefer to extort unreasonable terms. While their photos came out well, the customer service is terrible and some of their business practices are fishy. Do not recommend. There are so many talented photographers in Houston -- keep shopping.

In the studio, Carr and his production assistant were professional and thorough. Carr's expertise in various forms of portraiture was invaluable to the final result of my photo. When I received my final images, the first thing I said was \This is a million dollar photograph.\ The quality is unmistakable. I now have beautiful , professional portraits for my faculty website and book cover. I would recommend Michael Carr photography to anyone wanting professional portraits that stand out and that make you stand out from all the rest.
