My Daddy is 86 yrs old with severe dementia. He lost his hearing aid and it's been a struggle with his insurance to get approval for a new one, not to mention the hardship on him mentally. Finally got approval and a referral to Mid TN Hearing. We waited earnestly for his appointment almost three weeks only to be dissapointed!! The audiologist seemed lost, perplexed and not very educated. She actually asked my daddy to listen to a recorded voice in the booth and repeat the words back. An 86 yr old man with dementia and severe hearing loss? My daddy was heartbroken and upset, confused. I had to calm him down console him and she even refused to take her mask off so he could try to read her lips for the instructions. The staff had no compassion at all as for assisting the elderly as in hearing, easing him over the steps in and out of the booth, handing him his walking cane, nothing. The receptionist was horribly rude, insisting his insurance would not pay, even though I tried to show her the email from insurance on my phone. I took my Daddy to Franklin Hearing Aid Center next day and he is all set to get his new hearing aids in two weeks!! Worst experience ever and I myself am deaf.

I was sent here by my ENT. I have a ringing in my ears and it had gotten louder. I feel as though I was given a very intensive exam. Afterwards, I was told that my hearing was excellent but could not find why the ringing is getting louder. I enjoyed my visit. Everyone there was very nice and they made me feel totally at ease.

After a comprehensive hearing exam by my ENT doctor, I was referred to the Middle TN Hearing Aid Center and Dr. Meryl Gyger. The process of checking the information on my prior hearing test and the follow-up provided by Dr. Gyger has been excellent. I am consulting with a \Doctor\, not a hearing aid salesman. That, in my experience, makes a world of difference in the validity of the process. The quality of time spent selecting a hearing aid that is right for me, is priceless. Dr. Gyger is patient and informed by knowledge and experience. She speaks to me, not at me. I never thought that the process of correcting my hearing could be such a pleasure.
