Husband booked and paid by card through the app (Boro cars). Driver couldn't find us, husband rang them again to offer further directions (not drivers fault, it is a brand new housing estate) taxi firm cancelled the job without us asking, but the driver was still looking for us and found us. Half way home taxi driver panicked as job had been cancelled and he wasn't getting paid. Rang up to let them know he had picked us up so he needed paying. Tried to charge my husband twice for the job...... When he refused he was threatened with them sending the police....... Even though he had already paid and it had cleared and the cancellation was their mistake. Rang back to rectify the situation and asked to speak to a manager, lady said \yes one moment\, put me on hold for 8 minutes then cut me off. Rang back and spoke to a man who was short tempered and told me no manager deals with complaints, it is only admin department. Terrible company, terrible service and threatening behaviour and words used, towards honest, paying customers. Will be taking this further due to feeling threatened by the call handler's manner and being threatened with uncalled for police action, when it was the company's mistake to cancel. Not the first time I have experienced a similar dispute over them trying to charge me twice. I suspect possible theft and will be reporting to ombudsman and having this rectified immediately.

I’ve used this taxi service multiple of times as a student. Always fixed priced when using the app. Taxi arrive quick and always on time.
I start 3:45 am and the time now is 6:05 am and on their record I only worked 1 hour and my earning so far is 13.00 in more than 2 hours. Rubbish company feeding their favourite drivers.
The app told me that he is going to come after 1 min but the driver was late with 5 mins. Then he decided to stop for gas which took us another 5 mins and by that time I was starting to get late to catch my train. Around 10 mins before we arrived, he clicked something on his phone and I received a message that I have arrived at my destination even if we were still in the middle of nowhere. I haven't seen any other taxi drivers do that. When we finally arrived, I was super late and wanted to get out asap, (I also felt dizzy from his reckless driving) he told me that I need to pay to him by cash even if I have already registered my debit card in their app. I don't understand the logic of this app. Why would it want my card if it's not going to use and acknowledge it? After arguing with him and some assistant from their company, I give him all the cash I can find in me and ran for the train that I would have almost missed. Thank God that it was delayed!! Never using this company again. The driver was so arrogant and didn't care that my tickets cost for around 220 for me and my daughter . This was so disappointing and really stressful. He also wasn't wearing a mask which didn't make feel really safe.
The taxi driver who took me home from James Cook hospital said he needs my phone because he did not believe if I was not going to pay the fair, but in end I did when I got home. He had read the text messages on my phone to know he was getting paid yet he still kept my phone until I came back from the flat with the fair. I am also reporting this a crime to the police and to the local authority! I would advise people to not use this company because you might end up in the same place like I did
