Having spent an entire week in one of MSB’s custom homes, specifically in the Traverse City MI area, I have to say I’m supremely impressed. I’ve watched custom home builders for most of my life, both as a closet designer, and big fan, and I’ve yet to see such an impeccable attention to detail and superb craftsmanship. I could go on and on, but it will suffice to say that this team would be among my Top 5 builders in the country from which to choose when building our next home. Kudos!

These guys are incredible. 22 years in the construction business, and they are the best I have seen. Skill and integrity on steroids.
Today I witnessed someone driving a Mike Schapp Builders truck tailgate, swerve around and cut off an old woman, presumably because she just wasn't going fast enough. I can't speak to the quality of the builder, but if this is the kind of impatience and recklessness they show with something as simple as driving, it doesn't bode well with a more complex task such as building a house.
I loved working with Mike Schaap Builders for so many reasons! My number one reason is that I had a great team of people that worked with me to bring my dreams to life. They helped my husband and me to think outside of the box on what could be done. Although they do amazing new construction, they tested my smaller remodel project with the same care and eye for detail as they do their large projects. My second reason is that there were NO surprises. They made sure that we understood all that was going to be done and gave us a detailed breakdown of materials, work steps and costs. My third reason is the skill sets all the employees have. They know their jobs well! Great project management, amazing custom cabinetry \artists\, tile installer that was great, a space planner that had an idea that we never would have come up with on our own, and finally, an interior designer who just tied it all together for us. I really enjoyed the whole process and I never had to worry about anything falling through the cracks.
Our experience with Mike and his team was one of total commitment to the project and our desires to create our dream home. The final result confirmed our confidence in our selection of Mike Schaap Builders as a excellent choice! Absolutely LOVE our home!
