Very interesting process to get to the Muir Woods but they got us on with no problem. Nice park! But for 15/ person I would recommend going to the Armstrong redwoods just a little outside SF

Our first visit to Muir Woods since the new parking rules. The shuttle is really convenient and easy to get. Our driver "Pauly" was very helpful and courteous. The woods themselves are a beautiful way to spend a day. Highly recommend

Very easy to get on. Times are for when busses leave. Get there earlier!

Sadly, this is so difficult compared to when I was younger. Lines very long, crowded and did not go out. If you plan to see the beautiful woods plan far ahead so as to get your "tickets" to park and ride to Muir Woods.

Parking at Muir Woods is often FULL, overflow lots full and parking along the narrown road in lined up for miles well before 8am on weekends and in the summer. On the shuttle back, we watched people walking along the side of this narrow road, not safe! AVOID it all and TAKE THE SHUTTLE! It's 5 for the round trip, you pay once you get to the Visitor Center in the park. You'll need it to return on the shuttle. Shuttles run every 20 minutes starting around 9am and last one out of the park is just before 8pm. CHECK the posted schedules online for possible changes! I've uploaded a photo that will give you a good visual for where in the parking lot you will find the Shuttle stop. If there aren't people waiting or a shuttle pulling in or waiting, it can be difficult to spot. You'll note that there are a lot of people waiting. This is around 1pm on a Sunday afternoon in late August. Marin Transit does a great job of keeping up with the demand and will sometimes have as many as 3 shuttle buses waiting at the stop. Still, best to get to the lot well before the planned departure time.

I run shuttle Buses out of here. And of course we do good. It's a good place to come too and go visit Muir Woods. Don't have to worry about the parking wrote have it and also take you up to Muir Woods in our Shuttle. And the fare is very reasonable. It is only 5 for the park and the shuttle.

Parking looked safe. Wait to the park was only 5 minutes but we waited 30 minutes to come back due to the returning crowd. The shuttle was comfortable. 5 per person to ride to Muir woods park.
