If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Our project with Black Forest began with the idea of freshening up our home with new baseboards, shiplap, wainscotting, paint and light fixtures. After hearing wonderful reviews from many neighbors who had worked with Black Forest, we decided to also have 2 bathrooms and our fireplace updated. We could not be happier with our decision. Joel was totally transparent about all details of the project and was so easy to work with. From start to finish, the entire team at Black Forest was professional, incredibly skilled, reliable, and just a pleasure to have at our home. From our first meeting, Beth quickly got an understanding of our style and offered a variety of beautiful selection options within our budget. She was patient with all of my questions and I had no doubt that she would steer us in the right direction on our choices. Beth is extremely talented and has a great eye for design - she helped with every detail of the project from fixtures to finishes to wall art. We have come to truly appreciate the quality craftsmanship and professionalism that Black Forest delivers. We look forward to working with them in the future. In the meantime, I enjoy checking out their work for design inspiration!

We highly recommend Black Forest Design & Build. Wow! We met Beth, the designer, and she just got the vision. It was a kitchen, dining, living room remodel. From the design and the fun material selection days with Beth and Betsy to the professionalism and craftsmanship with Joel, Cliff and their entire team during the build, we were thoroughly impressed. Our home is a 1960’s architecturally designed well built home and they continued with the same quality and intentional design. We just love it and this team. Thank you!!

This review is way overdue as we finished our project over a year ago. However everyday that we use our new Master Bath, Guest Bath I am reminded of how much we appreciate the quality of our project. I know that I was not the easiest customer, but have very much appreciated the the trust of Beth and Joel to allow us the freedom of many of our own selections and the co-involvement of others for certain areas of design and install (hydronic floor heating as an example, and lighting design). We had a few issues, all of which have been addressed in an appropriate time. This was the second project which Beth has helped us design. We love both. We would recommend Beth and Joel highly

I'd like to say that we loved Black Forest Design & Build so much we had them re-model our kitchen twice...but that would be stretching the truth just a tad. Actually, they did re-model our kitchen twice, and managed to exceed our expectations even more the second time around. Here's our story: Less than 18 months after completing an amazing re-model of our kitchen, family room and master bathroom in our 1950s era home, water from a burst frozen pipe flooded the kitchen so badly that it had to be completely gutted, including hardwood flooring, walls, ceiling, cabinetry, electrical and appliances. The second call we made, after contacting the insurance company was to Black Forest. Their response was immediate. They pulled the plans from the prior re-model, worked closely with 3 different claims adjusters, and found room in their schedule to begin putting our kitchen back together within a few weeks of the event. While the project team, led by Joel, immediately focused on the task of re-building, Beth worked closely with us, suggesting a few changes that made the aesthetics and functionality of the kitchen even more appealing. Everyone was committed to putting things 'right' as soon as possible. We felt as if they were sharing the burden of the loss with us. Their hearts were in this work. Its something we'll never forget. Their craftsmanship is exceptional. Their designs are fresh and functional. Their attention to detail unsurpassed, and their customer service is unrivaled.

Black Forest Design & Build is a top notch company from top to bottom. We decided on BFD for a major kitchen renovation project to our 100-year-old home and couldn't be happier with our decision. BFD makes everything seamless and comfortable. From the first consult, to the design, to the selection process, through the build, and finish, BFD was professional, courteous, friendly, respectful, responsive, and engaged. Not only are we thrilled with the quality craftsmanship, we were delighted with the customer service. Beth and Betsy were pleasant, understanding and helpful. Caleb was skillful, diligent, careful, and easy to work with. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and the end product. After visiting with several design companies and contractors we decided to go with Black Forest to deliver us our dream kitchen! From the very first meeting we were blown away by their professionalism and down to earth approach. They walked us through every detail, took their time, made us feel comfortable, and provided us with 3D drawings of their vision. They outlined a 7 week schedule for us and finished to the day! When you’re looking to make major renovations to your home it’s important you find someone you can trust and you would be foolish to not at least meet with Black Forest Design. Beth, Joel, and Caleb are the best and we’re forever great full we chose to put our faith in them. We will never use anyone else in the future now that we’ve experienced what it’s like to work with true caring professionals.

We had a significant 4 month project including new living space and large kitchen addition.This team was attractive to us as they would be dedicated solely to our project as the scale and scope warranted full time attention. Despite a very challenging start due to several storms the project finished on schedule. All phases of the project met and exceeded expectations. The attention to detail was tremendous. My wife and I are very detail oriented. Due to their experience they are very timely, methodical and coordinated with all aspects down to color coordination and appliance/product selection. We would highly recommend BFDB from the foundations up (including the foundations). They are very good at what they do and as such are in very high demand. If you are lucky enough to get them for your project you will not be disappointed. We are so happy enjoying our new space. Thank you BFDB team!

Unfortunately this company did not meet my expectations. They said all the right things promised customer satisfaction, contract signed and paid the majority before work was completed. No incentive to correct anything now. That was my mistake. Now this company will not correct very poor work. I wish I could share pictures on this site. I am a single female home owner and feel preyed upon. I was told that i am too fussy. Easy to say after they already have my money.
