So it all started with a permit charge that never should have happened. Never give your money to PODS for permits, get your own. I paid them 150 for what they tried to claim was a 2 day permit to have the POD on my street, but never told me it was for only 2 days. So then the city called and had them pick it up. Which they did, claiming I had no permit. I called and attempted to talk to PODS but they said there was nothing they could do since I had no permit and the one I had only lasted two days. Attempted to get my POD delivered, but they refused due to no permit. Called PODS to see what I needed to do to get a permit. They refunded my first permit cost as they said nobody ever purchased a permit and they don't do that. So I called my city and a permit was 135, 100 of which was refundable for up to 15 days. 150 for 30 days. Get the permit, schedule the drop off and the pickup of my POD (Mind you, I'm doing this all remotely now as I was out of state at my new job). POD was dropped off and filled up. I called them when the POD was supposed to be delivered to me and it was never picked up like scheduled. The next scheduled time they can pick it up is over a week later. This time it is actually picked up and delivered when they said it would be. And then they tried to pick it up the day I had my movers moving the stuff out, an hour before they got there. I called and delayed it, which ended up with over another week delay to pick up the empty container. This lasted from Mid-September to Mid-December. I will never recommend this company again. They did an out of state move for me years ago, and have gone so far down hill it's scary. Go elsewhere.

It was going fine. They were able to schedule the drop off of the empty pods at my old home and the pick up of each full pod. They even got the pods to the destination state ahead of schedule. But when I called to schedule the drop off at the new house I waited on hold for 45 mins only to be told that they could not schedule it for 2 weeks!!! Clearly they are great until they have your stuff and your money.
The driver dropped my POD and broke nearly all of my furniture. They were apologetic, but filing the claim through the corporate office is a hassle and the customer service is terrible. Not only did I lose a lot of my furniture, but I now have the added stress of trying to get it replaced.
I was looking for general costs, but you have to give them your contact info and submit for a quote. Not helpful.
Worst ever!! They can't retain employees so it's my problem that I have a 3 week wait for them to come and pick it up. I was instructed that if I moved it they would charge me for the entire POD. Their driver showed up took a picture and said he also could not move it after I worked around it for 3 weeks after being told it would be next day pick up after I called in. There are so many other storage container companies available that deserve your business! Never again!!!
