Beautiful setting, complete with elegant candle lit tables and romantic old charm. I kept rereading the menu and was already thinking "I can't wait to come back here and try more!" The drinks and food were above and beyond. The Red Snapper, Hanger of Steer, and White House salad (seen in pictures) were flavorful and unique. Every bite was perfection! The service is top notch and the food is a unique variety we don't see often outside our great tapas restaurants we have in town. It has a warm feeling about it; makes a great destination for a date night. My wife's black bass dinner is easily the best fish dish I've had in Milwaukee or maybe ever, anywhere.
Friendly staff and nice interior. I hate leaving bad reviews but our experience was comically bad. 50 for a fajita's worth of hanger steak with one tiny red potato cut in half and three asparagus. My wife's three scallops came out with a steak knife, which should tell you all you need to know about how they were cooked. It took almost 90 minutes to get our entrees, and they came out cold. I wish them the best, but we won't be back.
This restaurant is a gem to the city of Milwaukee. The ambience is so charming and sets the mood for the dining experience. The staff is attentive and informative of the dishes and drinks that will pair well with your choice of entree. The food, well, is so delicious! Everything I ate was flavorful and spot on. The chef is thoughtful in his approaches and makes meals that will leave your tummy feeling very happy. It was truly an all around wonderful dining experience.

Drinks and ambiance are amazing. My wife and I have gone just for cocktails and are never disappointed. Service is always excellent. We had a very expensive dinner once in January and it was hit and miss. I had ribs and my wife had steak both of which were disappointing due to them being very fatty. The side dishes were outstanding. We will give dinner another shot sometime for sure as the menu changes often.
I’ve been to The White House three times, and each time the food, service and wine list were excellent. Highly recommended.
First of all, thank you to all the staff at White House. They always take such good care of us and make us feel very welcome every time we visit. The food itself is always excellent and above average for fine dining. Everything we have tried has been outstanding and we truly appreciate the care and preparation of each dish. Everything is homemade, even the bread! It is so refreshing to go to a restaurant where your expectations are exceeded with every visit.
