Don’t use this company if you have a deadline. I hired Olson Sheet Metal to do a small repair job on a rail in our kitchen. Total time between taking measurements and actually doing the install was over 14 months. (Not days…MONTHS.) There were a couple of no-shows. After each failed appointment, I called to find out why he didn’t show. Always excuses, including he was “on vacation”. I’m the customer. I shouldn’t have to call him to follow up. Granted, on one occasion he was ill and unable to work, but again, I had to call him to find that out. This dragged on and on and on. Meanwhile, I worked around the problem for 14 months. Eventually, the actual time for the repair took less than an hour. (Labor charge was exorbitant, but that’s another matter.) After the fix, and thinking I’d give him a second chance, I requested a quote for another small project in the back yard. He took measurements. 6 weeks later, having heard nothing about a quote, I told him to forget it. I called a contractor who gave me a quote and completed the job in 5 days. Thank you, Discount Steel! As for Olson Sheet Metal, this was without question, the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Ever! There are far better businesses out there. Don’t waste your time on this one.
