Served here from 1970 - 1972 on the security hill. The elephant cage and facilities are gone now. My first daughter was born here. Great memories here especially traveling northern Japan and meeting wonderful people.

We spent time here in 2015 for work and loved it. Even though the work environment was super toxic, we loved the base and the local area. IMO the base was well-kept with much green space and trees. I enjoyed having lunch with my spouse as we lived nearby. There's a pizza place in Misawa Plaza just off base. It's amazing and we really miss it!
I was stationed at misawa from 66 to 68. It was a wonderful place. My squadron was the closest of any I experienced in the force. A P Alley isn't there now but I'm there are other things to do. I loved the golf course. Housing sure looks better now than it was then.
I was stationed there from 2007-2009. I think back on Misawa and Japan almost daily to this very day. I look forward with anticipation to visiting Japan and hopefully Misawa Air Base again one day. I loved the experience there greatly.
We were stationed there during 1975 through 1976. Our son was 2, and our daughter was born in the base hospital. We lived in a little Japanese off base house. I have some fond memories of being there and remember the snowy winters. One really neat memory was the Bicentennial celebration on the base. My children are all grown now and middle aged, though it seems like yesterday.
