「どむみりと 棟や雨の 花曇」 元禄７(1694)年５月１４日に松尾芭蕉は三嶋大社に参拝し、神池のところに群生していた栴檀を見て、江戸に残してきた病床の妻・すての身を案じて詠んだ歌、と言われています。 昭和５３(1978)年６月５日、三島大社関係者によって建立されました。
