A beautiful temple with numerous shrines. Went there on New Years Day which is extremely busy but the staff there keeps it orderly and organized. Will definitely go back on a non holiday and enjoy the gorgeous scenery.

This is a large, well-cared for, beautiful area. It has a main colorfully decorated shrine, as well as many beautiful smaller shrines. If you wander around a bit, you can find, under the many large trees, handsome stonework, ponds, and even a large herd of deer.

I love visiting Mishima, Japan for the Taisha Mishima shrine. I find peace here. There are many things to do such as deer that you can feed (small fee), fish in a pond that you can also feed, vendors that sell merchandise (on a particular weekend) and pictures that you can take.
