Jeff Mack is responsive and has excellent customer service. They created a beautiful lake board for me. I am very happy with end product and would highly recommend to all!
For 3 years I have been anxiously waiting and super excited about my new sugar maple table for my dining room in our home. 2 years ago this March we cut down the tree at our cottage, to which we subsequently sold the cottage after. The tree was milled, seasoned, KILN DRIED ready to be made into my table. We trusted Jeff Mack Designs Inc (who accepted the job) with our family memories and over 100 years of generations to be forever present in the epoxy river table that he “said” he could do. WORST MISTAKE. I am ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATED that my table is ruined. We have asked for our money back. Jeff Mack has refused. AND, Mr. Mack has the absolute impudent attitude that somehow this end result was OUR fault. I am tragically left with 2 REAL EXPENSIVE oversized paperweights. Not the memory anyone should be left with. See for yourself in pictures that I have included. FURTHER COMMENT TO "RESPONSE BY OWNER": Now one would think from an intelligence perspective that a tradesman who claims to have "built hundreds of River Tables" would have checked the moisture level of our wood BEFORE accepting our money and BEFORE beginning work on my table. AND IF the moisture level was not acceptable, then Jeff Mack and Jeff Mack Designs Inc would have had it kiln dried "properly" as Jeff points out, "We have all of our slabs Kiln Dried". Jeff Mack did NOT test the wood for moisture, plain and simple. Who is supposedly the "professional" in this field? Not only disappointed, but I am thoroughly confused by such a response.
Shopped with them twice and such wonderful, personal experiences each time! They have absolutely beautiful handmade pieces as well as great quality wood and woodwoorking supplies. Worth it to form a relationship with the team. Great customer service and appreciative of local support.
Jeff made three custom matching tables for me -- a dining table, matching coffee table, and end table. I'm really pleased with the process and results. I visited Jeff's shop in Mississauga to look at some materials and example works. We went back and forth on the design, and Jeff helped design a custom base that was the style I wanted and in my price range. I'm happy with the results. Highly recommended.
Popped in to pick up some Rubio Monocoat for a couple of Walnut slabs I am working on.(they have a wide selection of colours) Thanks again for all of the tips and pointers! I would highly recommend a visit to Jeff Mack designs regardless of your skill level. I felt extremely confident leaving with the correct information and products that I was after! Can’t wait to see how these slabs finish up!
