Superb rooms with pretty good air conditioning, service, food and fast free wifi. They've got plenty of plugs to charge our electronics and also they provide universal adapter (by paying security deposit at the reception). Very nice!
DoubleTree Venice North is located about a 15 minute drive from the airport and about a half hour drive from the city. There is no public transport here so the options are a taxi at 35 or rental car. There is a free car parking at the hotel so there is no problem having a car. The hotel has a paid for shuttle a few times a day to Piazzale Roma in Venice with limited space so you need to make a reservation. The property is contemporary with a big open lobby area with an adjacent bar and restaurant. There is also a decent size outdoor pool with a big sundeck and a small gym with a few machines and some weights. The rooms are a good size with well planned bathrooms. The best rooms are the ground floor junior suites with nice terraces. All rooms have safes and fridges and good aircon systems. Staff are nice and friendly and the food is good. The hotel also has an extensive conference venue and a good business centre. Overall a nice option if you have a car and not going to into Venice everyday. The hotel also has easy access to golf courses and to the Prosecco wine district.

This hotel should be a good place to visit. It's unfortunately where all the airlines dump their passengers when their flights are cancelled. The hotel is not situated near anything. And has little or no amenities. My wife and I spent 2 days here recently after our flight home was cancelled. Food we were offered was terrible and the staff are also unfriendly, unpleasant and insensitive to out predicament.
The hotel was very loud because the bar area is right next to service desk. The open concept design allows noise to travel multiple floors up and permeate the rooms. Our room had a VERY strong feces smell from the pull out couch, we informed the staff and were told it would be taken care of, it was not!!! My children slept on the tile floor. We requested an additional blanket and a couple pillows, they gave us one smelly pillow, and a dirty stained comforter that was gross. We stayed in a "family room" for 4 people and were only given 2 towels, no foot towel, or washcloths. The television was very small and was mounted on a mobile stand like the ones used in schools. Overall it was a huge letdown from my normal expectations from a Hilton property, and being a Gold member did not seem to have any relevance to my stay. I will not be going back and I would advise others to do the same. Sorry Hilton, I still love your brand but this place is not your best!!! **On a strange side note...you are only given one key card and it has to be kept in a slot in the room or the lights turn off. If anyone leaves with the key; the others have to sit in the dark....Completly horrible design.
Nice and clean hotel with very well breakfast. We have stayed in 2019 August for one night during our mid-italy tour. Our room was upgraded and the view of the room was amazing. Also we had a little wellcome kit containing biscuits:) Staff were all professionals. A little far from the city center but has a ring service.
We had a wonderful stay. The staff is super professional and friendly, always ready to assist. The facilities are comfortable and very clean. The food at the hotel is delicious. I would recommend it to others looking for a place to stay in Venice.
