Big negative. CASH only.. Hmmmm. I turn up for a take away with only a card. Had to walk back to get cash. Not stated anywhere. Crispy duck, mushrooms and vegetables, vegetable rice. All were just OK. Duck a decent size and all accompaniments, but expensive. Other dishes were oily or tasted like MSG was used? Unimpressed.

We ate here last night. We ordered starters and only half of them arrived before the main courses. The biggest problem was trying to order what we wanted. The lady taking the order, who I assume was one of the owners kept saying 'no' when we wanted vegetables with either blackbean sauce or satay sauce, We are both vegan, and she wanted us to have vegetables with curry sauce which we didn't want. It felt like I had to argue for what I wanted. when we arrived we were the only people in the restaurant? She kept saying 'vegetables with satay sauce not very nice.. have with curry sauce instead' I've had it before in loads of restaurants around the world, they did beef in satay sauce on the menu but she didn't want me to have it with just vegetables? It took about 4 or 5 attempts to get what we wanted and it felt really uncomfortable having to insist that this is what we wanted. We pointed out there was also a fly on the prawn crackers and instead of replacing them the same lady proceeded to chase the fly around the basket with her nails and finally catch it but left us with the prawn crackers. It all just felt a bit weird. The food that we eventually got was full of flavour, but it made us feel a little uncomfortable having to insist what sauce we had with our vegetables. We were not being awkward as she was happy to add curry sauce to the vegetables which was not on the menu but any other sauce seemed to be 'not very nice'. The evening was weird and frustrating.
My wife Vanessa visited this restaurant this evening and we chose the highest priced set meal for two and it was absolutely fantastic and great value for money. The waitress who served and looked after us was great fun and seemed to enjoy her job - we certainly enjoyed her banter - we probably will not go back again .............. until tomorrow :)
We enjoyed a fantastic meal, definitely the best Chinese I have eaten. Service was friendly and the premises clean. We look forward to visiting again.
