Initially upon entering the restaurant we had bad service with the hostess. However, after we found our own seating outside, we were served properly by one of the best waiters ever! He knew just what we needed and was very knowledgeable of the menu items. The coconut shrimp and Cuban Burger are a must try!! :-) The cocktails were pretty good as well. "Coco Loco"

We had a nice time here. We dined outside on a slightly chilly evening, and the view was pleasant. The service was a bit slow, but the server was great. The menu didn't have many new / unusual offerings, but we found things we enjoyed (seemed more Mexican than Cuban, but maybe not). We would try this restaurant again.
Great place with amazing food
Food, price, portion size, service... all amazing! Location is nice as well. Great outdoor seating in a wonderful location Dog friendly too! Great for a date or going solo. You cant lose here.
The service was perfect, the menu have a great selection of Hispanic food with an amazing taste. The ambient on the restaurant was on point with nice Cuban feels!. Overall a great restaurant where I will be coming back soon!
Let me begin by stating that I am extremely saddened to be giving this restaurant a bad rating. We had high hopes for this location as it is minority owned and in a great location. Unfortunately, it is poorly managed and in desperate need of an overhaul. First, we had a reservation for 7:30pm for a party of six to celebrate a few birthdays. Upon arrival, we were informed the table was not ready as it was being cleaned off. After 30 minutes, we inquire with the host (who we believe is also the manager), and he states that he was under the impression the reservation was for 8pm. I informed him it was for 7:30pm, and only then , were we seated. We are seated in a booth under the stairs, which was fine, but, they joined three tables who were each different heights and completely off balance. So, we placed an order for some beverages and it took over 20 minutes to receive them. Moreover, we had to ask for lemon slices three times before they actually brought them to the table. Then, we place our food order and wait some more. After waiting for quite some time, the orders begin to arrive, however, every time we asked the gentleman what he was serving, he had absolutely no idea of who ordered what, and even more surprising, what he was actually serving. To top things off, some of the food was completely inedible. The chicken tasted as though it was frozen and not completely thawed out before being cooked (most likely in the microwave), the plantains were dry, and you could actually flip the cup of beans over and they did not come out of the cup (looked like bean pudding). Unfortunately, this was a pretty awful experience. We visit New Hope many times a year, and we will NEVER return to this restaurant!
Cuban sandwich was the best I've ever had. However... my partner ordered the fried avocado with extra cilantro on the side. It was very good, but reminded the waitress about the cilantro. We were told they added it when it was being cooked. Preferring a lot of cilantro, my partner asked for some on the side. Our waitress returned, offering cilantro dressing because they refused to give us extra. Disappointed that this restaurant would not accommodate a simple request for additional herbs.
Fun Cuban Caribbean vibe. Great for kids, music loud so they won't bother other diners. Fajitas were good and guacamole tasty too.
