Crab Nail Statue. I see this a monument for Monbetsu. It might show the important of the crab for this town. if the weather is good. tourist may have a nice view of the Okhotsk Sea.

Now out of season, middle of March, still we can ride ice-breaking ship....quiet and worth it Recommend to visit nearby Monbetsu Ice museum.(worth it)

A quirky statue showcasing Monbetsu's fishing roots. Grab some photos and head to the beach right next to it! There are excellent rocks for skipping and collecting if you're interested in that sort of thing. There is also a lovely park with a great ocean view right above the beach!
