First off, I do appreciate what Mom's OC is trying to do and I can only imagine how busy they must be, but it's still not an excuse for them to take over a month to contact you. By the time I was contacted the majority of the classes had already started. They expect you to drop everything and notify you the day of a class to join it. It's very messy and unprofessional of them to do that. The prenatal class is taught by a divorced man who has kids and while I have nothing against men, I do have something against a man attempting to guide me during my prenatal stage. How can he know what women go through if he himself didn't bare those children and psychically and emotionally go through what women go through. It's sad that, that is our only option. It's sad that if you're a low income woman trying to educate yourself, that is the help you are receiving. This same man, holds a Taller Para Papa's (Workshop for Dad's) and he basically wanted his participants to talk bad about their expectant partner's, a lot of the men were wise enough not to take the bate. How is it helpful for men to speak bad about their partner's, how is that helpful to women, how is that going to help a man understand? Then as he concluded the class he proceeded to ask for donations, these are low income people and you're asking for donations? Makes no sense at all. My recommendation is to look elsewhere for help and classes. They're very disorganized and while there may be some people who actually want to help you, they're too busy to help all of us.

I really appreciate what MOMS Orange County tries to do. The unfortunate truth is that it falls quite short. My OB-GYN recommended I reach out to them as a resource to help with postpartum depression. That was back in September. This review is being posted January 11th. In that time, I haven't had a single meeting with anyone regarding postpartum depression. What I have had is numerous promises that someone from the office will call back to schedule a class and then never heard back. they supposedly alternate English and Spanish for month to month, and yet from September through January, not a single English class has been offered. \u200d️ It's always ext month\. Of course by this time, the postpartum medication has kicked in. The other service they offer is they connect you with someone that normally would come to your house once a month and work with you and your baby to make sure you meet different milestones. Obviously due to the pandemic, this has been shifted to phone calls. My person also said to help supplement the classes not working out, she was going to call every week to check in to see how I was doing. I received one call in 12 weeks. And at the last one, during the monthly phone call, she said since I was doing so well she wasn't going to call anymore every week. She never even realized she missed all the calls that she said she was going to do weekly. Everyone is super nice, but don't hold your breath for anyone reaching out. If you have postpartum depression, keep pushing for the help you need! (From elsewhere)
