Great new sandwich shop. Fresh ingredients and friendly staff. Kid-friendly. Right on the trail where there's great biking and tubing on the river.
We had lunch here today and it was outstanding! 3 different selections from salmon to turkey to my son's breakfast sandwich and all were excellent! We love organic food although not sure if any was but you can tell superior ingredients went into each menu item. I even liked the music. We will be back:)
This morning, my fiancé and I decided to go for a stroll on the NCR Trail. We live less then a quarter of a mile from the trail so it’s very convenient. After our workout we worked up an appetite and decided to try the Monkton Cafe in the old Monkton hotel. Joe, the owner, was very personable, friendly and made us feel very comfortable. We ordered a sausage, egg and cheese croissant and it was out of this world. So so delicious. I ordered a Vanilla Latte which is my go to drink and they completely exceeded my expectations. My fiancé, Luke ordered the Nitro and is a caffeine-a-Holic and he is absolutely thrilled with quality of coffee and breakfast items we have within walking distance of our home. We have found our new go to cafe and will stopping in frequently. We feel very fortunate to have such an amazing cafe in Monkton especially within walking distance. 10/10 stars! ️
No question about it, nothing better on the NCR. Quaint revived building with artistic charm. Delicious sandwiches, cold beverages, Zekes coffee, and the Tahartkas ice cream. Eat in or take out. I had the BLT with avocado. Games for kids. Art work for sale on the walls. Don't miss this locale. On the trail, near the water, across from the old Monkton Train Station
Stopped here for a meal during break from bike ride. Enjoyed a grilled cheese and black bean soup. Great service and good coffee too.
Wonderful cafe with excellent food and drink options. Cozy seating, both indoors and outdoors, and very reasonable prices. This is a great place to relax after a walk or a bike ride on NCR trail.
Love the new interior and design! This would be a really great, quiet place to catch up with a friend on a weekday. The chalkboard menu is pretty but a bit difficult to read from a distance- a handheld copy of the menu would be awesome. A real coffee menu would also be nice. There are many local selections for food and beverage which is pretty nice. I ordered the pasta salad- it was tasty but was dated 5 days from the package date which is cutting it close on a dish that contains cheese in my opinion.
