Not played this course for a long long time...forgot how hard a walk it really is. Front 9 not for the faint hearted and then your hoping for an easier walk on back 9..it is slightly less hilly but still a good old trek. I thought the course was in pretty good condition.Greens were good but very slow so attack those pins.Whilst it was dry sunny day there was very little run on the fairways tee shots pulled up quickly even on the sloping fairways. Today was a warm bright sunny day as you can see from pictures. Monmouth GC is not a hard course speaking as a golfer however it is quite a hard uphill walk on a lot of holes. Eat your weetabix before playing it...you will need a large calorie intake. The views are spectacular it has to be said especially when stood on 7th green.

Nice and frendly lovely food worked very hard
The golf course is very lovely but the greens are poor
Service was very good staff well organised and polite especially when some forgot there social distance! Course unforgiving and hilly but great fun,get a buggy!
Self titled \The Prettiest Golf Course in Wales\. Well it rhymes with prettiest... Greens were some of the worst I have ever seen. Slow, wooly, bobbly and obviously been riddled with disease. Rough had been cut and left so good luck if you strayed off a fairway. Thankfully the bunkers were GUR due to COVID as they were overgrown and full of weeds and stone. Saw a few bunkers where they have started to try and fix but they have their work cut out trying to make anything of this course. I have played a fair few courses since lockdown was lifted and this is by far the worst.
