My wife and I had the good fortune to visit La Ciarlana on our recent Tuscany trip. We could not have asked for a more enjoyable time. Sara, our incomparable guide, was as sweet as she was knowledgeable. We played a fun wine game and, as it was harvest time, spent time chatting with Luigi as he brought in the grapes from the fields. A small vineyard, it gave us the time to experience everything in an unhurried fashion. And the wine we had shipped home? Better than we even remembered. If you are in the area, this is a must stop.
