After going to a couple of the ‘best’ wineries in Montepulciano and being fairly underwhelmed by the experience, we ended up passing BorgoDivino and decided to pop in somewhat by chance...two hours later, we had finished what was the best wine experience we had during our entire stay in Tuscany! Filippo - the third-generation owner - met us with such warmth and passion upon walking in that we knew we had stumbled upon an absolute gem. We decided to go for the wine tasting with a selection of incredibly well-paired and locally sourced charcuterie, cheese and honey, and were blown away by the experience. For someone who truly appreciates wine, there are a few things that set this Enoteca apart from the rest. Firstly, they offer some of the most globally prestigious Tuscan wines as part of the tasting that are typically only sold by the bottle for hundreds of euros. Secondly, our experience of other Enotecas and wineries in the town were largely devoid of any real passion, personality and enthusiasm. Filippo, on the other hand, is the type of character that makes you want to go back home and open up your own wine bar. The time and effort he put into curating the amazing wines we had as well as articulating the explanation and stories behind each was truly exceptional. Ranging from an accessible Vino Nobile and ending with the world renowned Sassicaia, I genuinely don’t think this experience can be beat. In a world where people are increasingly following reviews and instragram posts, it makes me happy that you can still discover a diamond by complete chance.

Fantastic time with Fillipo and so helpful l! Beautiful wine.
Stopped in to see what they have for sell and were blown away by Filippos' knowledge and passion. He was able to speak about every wine, the season, and what to expect. He carries more complex wines and can actually speak about them. Great way to tastes different wines throughout the region. Highly recommend when trying to get away from some of the pushy cantinas.
Nice \Enoteca\ with impressive setup and decoration (music will add x-value). They offer aperitive, private events, ecommerce, gifts arrangement, wine tasting. They offer variety of formats from classic 750 MLS bottles to 1.5 , 3.5, 6, 12 liters. The manager in charge Salvatore will guide you and attend you while there.
We ended our wonderful Toskany experience by beeing fooled by the waiter ( who might also be an owner)of this place. We ordered 2 small glasess of wine each costing 2,5 eur. (As it was written on wine machine). Then my husband wanted same wine I had and waiter sad he run out of that bottle and offered another similar wine saying it has the same price. My husband asked for a full glass of that wine and I asked for medium glass of white wine which costed 3,5 eur. My husband got his \full glass\ which was only half of wine glass but we accepted it. On the wine machine it said it costs 10 eur for big glass ( prices for the wine are based on small, medium and big portion). At the end we ended up paying 27 eur only for wine (total bill was bigger as we were also eating something) instead 18.5 eur. When I argued waiter said his machine calculated price and my first glass was medium, instead of small, and my husbands second glass was full glass not big so it was 12 eur not 10 as stated. ( we were only guests sitting in the restaurant so he knew pretty well what we ordered. When I argued he gave me 3 eur back which I refused to take, and left the bar. I would never recommend this place! AVOID IT!!!
