The only disappointment was that I couldn't stay more nights! Check-in was so easy; the guy was pleasant. He upgraded us to a suite. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place!

Needed a place for one night while in town. This turned out to be my favorite hotel stay so far while going down the coast. The shower here is the best by far. Hot water and the shower head is really high up which is nice for taller people. Comfy rooms with great wifi and TV. Waffles and more for breakfast. Couple restaurants within walking distance.

It was good a basic room 2 beds all the amenities. But what I disliked was that the shower didn’t turn fully on and the tub didn’t turn fully off when trying to switch between the two. Which was weird . For price I won’t be staying here again.

Great hotel with renovated, really nice rooms, at a completely wonderful price. The staff (owner?) at the desk was very kind and bright, and very accomodating to my choice to keep adding additional nights to my stay in this delightful town and area.

It was fine for a 2 star hotel. Not enough parking for all of the rooms. We got food later one evening and had to park outside on the street. Nice to have a fridge and microwave. Though microwave and mattress are as cheap as they come. Shower was hot, kind of a crummy shower head but all expected at the price point. It worked very well for us for a couple of days. No breakfast during COVID! That was not expected. We were supposed to have breakfast. But it is very close to the beach. Less than a mile. We had pizza one night and the next morning the plates were COVERED in ants! Not the nicest thing to wake up to... Still, for the price. I'd probably like to try a different hotel next time. But if nothing else was available at this price I'd stay again.

I stayed here last Saturday(2/27/21), I arrived around 11:00 am, the lobby had no one, it was 5 minutes later that a man by the name of Arjun KC finally walked in with no hospitality, no smile, just a dry "can I help you". I had been driving for 3 hours so it was in need to use the restroom, he told me check-in wasn't until 3:00 pm and couldn't help me. I've stayed in many hotels and this was the FIRST time I ever had to wait until 3:00 pm to check-in. The parking lot literally had less than 5 cars, so I know there were rooms available. We had to walk to Trader Joe's to use the restroom. My cousins had recommended this hotel and after letting them know what a bad experience I had, they told me the same guy had let them check-in as early as 10:00 am before. So this tells me the man (Arjun KC) picks and chooses who he lets check in early. Being that they were females gave them a pass I guess. When I visit Monterey I usually stay around the area, The Stevenson, Best Western, and Hotel Abrego are by far better. I won't be staying here again, and won't be recommending it to anyone else.
