Wonderful stay at Marriott hotel right downtown across the street from the Monterey Wharf! Walking distance to many shops, restaurants, coffee shops & bakeries close by, trails & walk ways & beach areas! Stopped at Dominico's for a beverage! Nice staff & bartenders! Short drive to several places near by to visit! Went to Carmel & Carmel by the Sea! Was relaxing to enjoy watching the water ebb & flow!! Family & dog friendly. Get there early to get parking & walk thru town in Carmel! Enjoyed lunch at The Cottage! Loved Kris Kringle Christmas shop! ️️ Wanted to stay few more days! Great trip!

Newly redesigned rooms are great, except for the designers and contractors epic design fail for not adding an outlet right next to the light switch nearest the coffee machine.

The stay here was absolutely wonderful. The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean and they went above and beyond to ensure their guests were safe. They even gave us some water for the road home. 10/10 would recommend!

Rooms attractive but lighting in bathroom was not good for makup. Lots of noise outside of room, like people talking and doors slamming early in morning. Beds were comfy.

Pro: The hotel is very conveniently situated. It's right by downtown and 5 minutes walk to the Old Fisherman's Wharf. The bed was super comfortable, I had one of the best sleep in days. The hotel staff was very friendly and gave us Starbucks coffee in the morning. Con: The parking is 27 a day at the hotel. If you're staying only for the night or over the weekend, you can try the street parking. The parking meters only runs from Monday - Saturday 9:00AM - 6:00PM (it depens on the street, check the signs to be sure. The ice machine wasn't working on our floor and the toilet was leaking water when flushed.

Pros: - All the staff we encountered were super nice and professional, all the way from valet to front desk staff. Every time we walked past the lobby, the front desk staff would greet us! - Very spacious room! Nice decor! - Shower glass has a hole you can use to turn water on first and get to the right temperature before walking in. - Very convenient location! Walking distance to the pier and even cannery row (via a walking trail). - We were offered an upgrade to the bay view room. Very nice view. Cons: - The coffee machine was put in a spot where there is no outlet plug to plug it in, maybe it should be moved to somewhere closer to an outlet plug. - Breakfast is no longer being offered due to the restaurant has been closed (due to COVID). But the staff recommended us some breakfast places. We didn’t park in the hotel. They only provide valet parking. If you want to do self parking, you have to use the city garage one or two blocks down the road. But the valet person was very friendly and let us know after 5pm (or 6pm) the street parking would be free and you can park overnight, so we did that instead of spending money to park in the garage. We felt safe parking on the street overnight. Those free spots will be fulfilled quickly! Make sure to get one ASAP when the time comes. 10/10 would consider staying at this hotel if we ever revisit the area! Excellent service!

Renovated rooms are nice (though not really anything to rave about). The rooms were clean and the check in and room key access was easy through the app. The front desk was helpful and gave us a couple of extra water bottles as the tap water had a funny taste. The beds were comfy and the walk in showers are always a plus. 4 stars because we literally had the room the furthest from the elevator so it took forever to get in and out of the hotel.

If anybody out there is looking for good deals for hotels check ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ made a reservation for a resort on there and these guys had the best rates worldwide! They are pet-friendly and the staff were all outstanding and pleasant. The room was very clean. I love their walk-in showers! This location was within walking distance of everything we wanted to see.
