The doctor and staff of Monterey Peninsula Veterinary Center were wonderful when we had to take our beloved cat, Peanut, to them after she apparently suffered a stroke. It was one of those impossibly hard tasks as we said goodbye to our dear girl of 19 years...and the two assistants were kind, loving and understanding and the doctor who had to administer the shot was quiet and sympathetic. We've visited Monterey Peninsula Veterinary Center before for emergencies and they've always taken care of us perfectly. Thank you to everyone there...

In a time where every second counts the doctor did everything she could to help our beloved "Lucky" but his luck ran out. A pit bull attack years ago didn't take him from us or him going blind didn't stop him from giving us all the loving he could till the end. The staff showed compassion in our saddest moment.

Absolutely love Monterey Peninsula Vet. I had taken my pup there a few years back when he inhaled a stuffed animal leg he tore off, and they were efficient, kind, reassuring, and took great care of him. I originally had him with a different vet in the area but made the decision to switch and I couldn't be happier. It was super easy to make an appointment-- the staff on the phone were enormously helpful and his appointment itself was quick, efficient, and informational! I definitely feel like he is in good hands.

My cat Skyler started showing signs of a UTI back in May, so we brought her in. She was grumpy, I was in tears (I received her for my 10th birthday back in 2009 and she is my best friend), but the nurses were great. Sky was prescribed some antibiotics, symptoms faded for about two weeks, then started up again. We brought her in and an X-ray showed hundreds of bladder stones. Without hesitating, they brought her in for surgery that night and she has been feeling much better since. They now prescribe special food for her and have been amazing with her aftercare. MPV took great care of my baby and she's happier and eating healthier than ever before! Throughout the whole thing, I was kept informed via text, call, and email. They were so gentle and kind with my girl and I would trust them with her a thousand more times. They really love and value our pets just as much as we do. Sky didn't even seem nervous when we went back to have her stitches removed! I feel very secure knowing this facility is open for my best friend and me 24 hours a day. We are so grateful!

Excellent and immediate attention to my dog with a severe laceration. We'd driven south from Pacific and Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital where we'd sat in the parking lot for over two hours without being even assessed (and with no one picking up the phone after our first check-in upon arrival). Finally I drove an hour south to MPV and was so glad I'd done so -- if only I'd come straight to MPV in the first place! Dr. Hermann did a great job suturing a large and severe laceration and getting our girl back on her feet. She is healing very well; thank you Dr. Hermann and team!

The team is AMAZING! I have had a rough month. One baby with pneumonia, one with a vestibular issue and one that passed away from cancer. It has been a horrible month and the team has been amazing. They have the most caring staff and really take care of you and your babies. Thank you Dr. Hermann and team!

Monterey Peninsula Vet has been the main care for our adopted shelter dog, Hazel for the last 4 years. Hazel is an axious and reactive to other dogs. Taking her anywhere can be stressful for both her and us. Monterey Peninsula Vet has gone out of their way to make accommodations so that her visits to them are as stress free as possible. I truly appreciate their understanding of our dogs needs and their good care of her.
