The Cloud Forest School (el Centro de Educación Creativa) is an independent, bilingual school located on 106 acres of cloud forest land in rural Monteverde, Costa Rica. Home to 200 Pre-School through 11th graders, our student body is made up of 95% local Costa Rican students, and 5% international students. A full 75% of our students pay deeply discounted tuition. Our goal is to graduate bilingual individuals with strong roots in environmentalism. Our educational and institutional philosophy is founded in sustainability and economic justice. Our staff of 38 is made up of half Costa Rican and half international professionals deeply dedicated to progressive, bi-lingual education.
