Kind folk, great selection of pretty much anything you could need from such a place. A wider selection available than most homey, town ferreterías and yet not nearly as monstrous as a warehouse kinda thing. Lies somewhere in between, which I find to be a great balance. Also right next to a pretty nice paint shop in case you don't find the necessary paint materials at the hardware store itself. A couple blocks from the train station too, which I bet is a plus for some.
