Spent seven days in Utah and my day spent on these trails was my favorite. Did over 19 miles with Druid Arch and Chelser Park. Either one is amazing, if you can handle the distances, you have to do them! I recommend only doing one of the two at a time if it's winter since the days are short.

Awesome experience hiking here during the end of March. We did the Chesler Park Loop and connected with the Druid Arch trail which ended up being about a 17 mile hike (7 hours). We are rather fit, late 20-somethings but I would probably not do the 17-mile hike again but rather extend the trails into two days and camp (my knees were not happy with me the next day). However, totally doable if you bring enough wanted and take breaks! Chesler Park has a nice rest area about halfway through the loop with some tables for picnicking and a bathroom (no toilet paper or hand sanitizer when I was there). The views were were absolutely amazing - huge panoramic views of the beautiful needles (although we saw them more resembling mushrooms). You walk through a really cool slot canyon-like area which was awesome since we didn’t get to visit others in Southern UT. Druid Arch was absolutely crazy - DEFINITELY worth the extra 4 miles it added on. One of the coolest arches I’ve seen in the area (Delicate, Landscape, Double O, and Druid were my favorites in the area). The hike to and from Druid (if you don’t take Chesler) were not super scenic but still cool to hike along the bottom of the canyons. Highly recommend a trip here in the Needles District of Canyonlands if you’re up for a long hike - it is definitely worth it. BRING ENOUGH WATER!!!!

Absolutely stunning views. Relatively low amounts of people and a sense of adventure if you go out to the slot canyons & Druid Arch. This trail isn’t for beginners. Bring plenty of water and start early! Be sure to have a good navigation app/device. The entire trail has carins marking the path but it’s very easy to get twisted around in certain parts as the trail goes onto rocks with no clear foot path.

If you have a capably 4x4 truck, SUV or Jeep, this is just the trail to test your nerves and your vehicle's metal. Not recommend for novice or beginners without a guide. This was my first time back since the mid 90s as a teen. The back side of elephant hill was really torn up from what I remembered. Going up the back after completing the loop was the most challenging. In all it took about 4-5 hours, including the confluence 1/2 mile hike. It's a bit of a drive 110 minutes south of Moab, but we'll worth it to check off your 4x4 bucket list. Best to do with a group in case of breakdown or unforseen issues. Permit required from recreation.gov.

Hiked out to druid arch.... a little climbing involved. This is not a normal hike where you just walk up to it. 11 miles round trip. Please do some research before attempting. It was well worth it.
