A real find, especially amid lockdown takeout only. I was just searching for nearby good-enough takeout food and found a really excellent meal. Lots to love, even the small stuff. Normally, takeout french fries are soggy and disappointing by the time you get them home. But the ones from Paradis BBQ were crisp and tasty to the last fry! Among the best I've ever had. The chicken's skin was also crisp and flavourful, and the rest was perfectly cooked. The ribs were juicy, the corn bread was the right mix of moist and firm. Sauces galore. (I had Combo 2). All this produced after a short 5 minute wait from walking up, served safely out their window. I look forward to having it all again.

We were shocked by how delicious this place was. Everything was perfectly seasoned and high quality. They were knowledgeable and accommodating for my husband, who is celiac and needs to eat gluten free. Its not priced cheap but I definitely recommend.

I went there because of many reviews calling it the best fried chicken in Montreal. Fried chicken is probably my favorite dish, and I have eaten it extensively in southern US, where the dish originates. The thing that this place does right is they use chicken thighs. But the thighs are deboned, and this has a big effect on the taste (fried chicken, with no qualifiers, means bone-in, skin on to me). The crust is well-seasoned, crunchy, and non-greasy; but sadly, over-fried to the point of having a slight bitter after-taste. The strangest thing is the dipping sauce, which is quite thin, and tastes like a watery jerk sauce (clove being VERY dominant). That's nothing like southern fried chicken. I got the corn bread as a side, and that was even more bizarre. It was topped with a thin sour cream, cilantro, and a pickled red chili. It's as if the chef thought corn bread is Mexican. Again, corn bread is a southern US dish, and should come with home-made butter. I also tasted the BBQ sauce, and it was too close to ketchup, overly sweet and lacking any complexity. This place lacks authenticity, and I am baffled by the high ratings.

BBQ Chicken (18 for 1/2 chicken): 5 of 5 stars. Excellent, tasty crispy!! Pumpkin feta salad (12): 1 of 5 stars. Horrible, tasteless, too expensive! Fries (5): 3 of 5 stars. Average.
