This school teaches children to be themselves, instead of imitating someone else. It makes students feel important and confident in whatever they learn. Student Led Conferences is a great way to tell their parents how well did they do in class, and Moomba Park has been upholding that rule. Their Motto "Our Best Always" has such a great meaning: Even though we're not confident in something, we'll try to make it our best always. And for the children that need help in this school, senior students help them to socialise with other students and feel more confident about themselves. Teachers always looks up to their students believing they can do it. And that's the positive attitude we expect from a teacher. This school has a great environment of grass that shines green and grounds that are reflecting beautifully. Mostly all of the students help participate cleaning up the yard. Students also manage clubs which makes them feel more responsible. All in all, Moomba Park is a GREAT primary school that has so much potential. Thank you.
Very bad school
i sent my 2 nerdy kids there they became big ballers :)
I went to this Primary School for a couple of years. At the time I went to this Primary School (2003-05), the facilities were decent but they were not new by then. The school building was one corridor long, which stretched from one end to another (I know this layout no longer exists anymore, as it has since been renovated). The toliets were in a concrete building at one end (next to what was then Room 1 and 2). Those were always not very nice, and I am 99% sure they are still there today! There were also some portables added in 2004, which I suspect may still be there now! The library was in a separate building, next to the pool. The pool and gym were in the same building, and that was a nice feature (not all schools had a pool then, which remains so now). The canteen (and sheds) were on the other side to the pool. There was also a dental building at the very front of the school. The playground was decently-sized (although they unfortunately removed the flying-fox in 2004, I wonder if it was ever re-installed). It also had big ovals at the back (near Lowson St.). The teaching I thought was okay at the time. They kept us occupied most of the time (except I got shunted to Grade 1 in Prep but it did keep me occupied at least). Grade 1 was a bit average, the teacher seemed a little disinterested at the time. I had two teachers for Grade 2, which seemed odd but it worked out as the teaching was better than in Grade 1. However, I left halfway through the year. Overall, my time there was not bad. However, I cannot say how much has changed since 2005.
