We were getting quite hungry after checking out lovely Mora. We chose this place mostly because of its prime location down at the lake. There's a big number of tables inside, but the point was sitting outside. And there were some tables left. Very nice with great views. For lunch they offered the buffet. 125sek each, which was quite reasonable. We are usually not the buffet types, but since we were hungry we gave it a shot. And the quality was a really mixed bag. I had some kind of beef curry, which was surprisingly tasty and spicy. A good choice. The some potatoes, which lacked flavour of any kind. The meatballs were average, very average. The fries on the other hand I enjoyed very much. Hot, crispy and very salty (which I like, but might put some off). Soft drinks were free and quite alright. Altogether an ok meal, nothing to write home about, but solid. Still: Would come back only for the location.
Service was so slow. They lost orders and we waited 30 min to order. The food was good and price worth.
Good food and nice staff, pleasant experience
This review is mostly towards the service of the restaurant since we thought that the food we ordered was great. Upon entry we were greeted by one of the service staff who showed us to our table. And that was basicly that for the next 20 minutes. No one came to collect our order. One table who sat there before us was also clearly ready to order and had waited for a long time. When we finally ordered we thought things were maybe getting better but they weren't. We ordered starters, mains and a bottle of wine. The starters came before the wine but we didn't get any cutlery. So we had to ask for that. Since we wanted to taste the wine with the starters we waited for that. We ended up asking one staffmember to check. After we were finished with the first course we waited for the mains. And waited. Untill we finaly could hear the kitchen ask the service what was happening with our table. They clearly forgot to notify the kitchen that we were ready with starters. During the time we sat there we saw several tables waiting a long time to get the bill. A lot of them even went to the cash register themself since they didn't want to wait any longer. Another thing that was wrong was that there pizza oven was not working properly. This they didn't infor the guests of right away from the beginning. Ok, fine, i understand that the oven can have problems. But being an italian restaurant people are likely to come there to eat a pizza. So if the oven is not working and they can't serve pizza's then you would think that it is important to inform the guests about this right from the moment they sit down. Right? I don't know if they were understaffed just that day or if it is always like that, but it felt like the service staff had a lot of improvements to make in order to get on the same level as the food that the kitchen produced. Will not come back.
Hearty food buffet with lots of meat! Vegetarian option is available but you have to ask for it and they basically fry up some frozen veggies. It’s okay but sad. Not sure if there are any better options around tho \u200d️
Nice interior, good view of the lake, good lunch buffet
It was horrible. Bad service but they were kind. The food was so bad, it was dry and very salty. We didn’t finish our food because it was nasty. And the floor was dirty everywhere, don’t they know how to clean? I would never recommend this to anyone! :(
