I have used this facility many times over the past 10-15 years. Always friendly and kind customer service. When they where full, the manager was so helpful sending me to another facility she new of that had vacancies. A previous review said it was old and run down. It may be older but I have never had a problem personally and would recommend checking with them when in need of a storage. Prices are reasonable and I have found other places are to pricey to store my belongings.
I have been with Global Mini Storage for over 6 years. The prices are reasonable. The service is great. Any time I need a receipt it is promptly given to me either by email or mailed directly to my address. I have never had any issues with extra or high fees - ever. The staff is wonderful and friendly - always there to be helpful and with a smiling face. They make you feel like extended family.
I have been a tenant at Global Mini Storage for 15 years. During that time, All staff has treated me with nothing but excellent customer service. The rent for the unit is the most cost effective that there is in the area. I always receive an itemized bill telling me what my last payment was, what my late fees are, and when the next payment is due. The process is always the same, no matter which employee is handling my account. The management team and their customer service skills, the prices, and the security of the units are the only reason that I continue to rent from Global Mini Storage, as I live in San Jose. If this management team ever leaves, so to will I. There is something to be said for a place that has been in business for so many years, it takes the utmost honesty and integrity to keep a business thriving in Silicon Valley. I would trust my precious memories with no other.
Short take: Rates are lower than competitors, but that is recouped in exorbitant fees-- and good luck getting an itemized bill. There are many unexplained additions, definitely math that does not add up, wink wink. However, no matter how professional you may be, \manager\ takes personal offense when this is questioned, and still provides no accounting. Units are old and run down (hence the lower rates), my initially clean belongings were filthy upon removal. More : If you don't mind an employee/manager who condescendingly calls the customer \her tenant\, ( though she lives in the attached cottage in exchange for irritating the customers-yes, she is a tenant ) -AND then wants you to listen endlessly to how youthful, thin, beautiful and creative she somehow believes she is, while she grasps at any means to insult you -then by all means store your stuff here. Pretty much any other facility is preferable for service and accounting, no drama, and no ego-stoking required. That alone is worth slightly higher rates.
