The cave has a little church at the entrance, ticket price is 10 lei and they are offering helmets because the ceiling is sometimes very low, and the helmet is really useful. The route is easy to follow because there is an metal alley and yellow railing. Very well lightened and there is an audio message rolling with facts about the cave, so there is no need for a guide. Some areas are very tight and the ceiling is low so if you are a claustrophobic person is not recommended. You have to use the mask all the time you are inside.

It's something unique to visit. Not very often can you admire something beautiful and so close to Bucharest. 1 day trip. The road was good, clean in some parts, others were messy and dangerous but pleasant to drive. As a motorcyclists It's a nice ride, but as a driver, you better have nerves of steel because the road is very narrow and the drivers SUCK at driving. So best be very cautious. Other than that, you better mind the people that will trample on you and throw their children in your path just to cut ahead and hurry you up. As always, people are the problem, no masks, no respect, no granting priority to the elder or the people stuck on the stairs. Just mindless zombies roaming around in a cave. So enjoy and have fun. I did.
A wonder of nature with a great history and legends behind it. A cave with a grand entrance that quickly turns into some narrow corridors. Water runs through it and dripping everywhere from the ceiling. You can see mineral deposits on the walls. Some steep stairs here and there. There is also a monastery built right at the entrance.
The cave is amazing. It must be visited if you are in the area. Inside the cave the temperature is quite low (8-9C) and the humidity is high (80-90%) so proper clother are needed. It will be a good choice to wear the helmets they give you at the entrance.
Very nice and impressive, not at all difficult to go all the way through, evsn thiugh there are some stairs to climb - we were with our toddler who enjoyed it as much as we did. For some areas of it, it's a bit difficult to dunk if you're carrying a little one but I think it can be done if extra attention is paid to it (in those areas we asked our daughter to walk herself) All in all, a great experience, I highly recommend visiting it if you're around
100% would recommend. Small, very nice monastery, followed by an amazing cave. Wear the helmets they give you.
Very huge mysterious cave, you should wear a helmet which are provided free of charge at the entrance not to hit your head to cave's walls, some parts are very low, be careful.
This one of the most iconic caves in Romania. Like most other landmarks here, this is not well pointed for tourists, but in exchange, it is well worth it to visit. Beware of low temperature inside, around 5 degrees. It takes about 1 hour to visit fully.
