Pamela Bennett Wahlberg is the Director of this Wildlife Center. I can tell you that having the Meerkat with Ms. Wahlberg is awesome. She is highly knowledgeable and compassionate. She has great stories to tell, as do her helpers. I have worked with Ms. Wahlberg and am proud to call her neighbor. This is a unique getaway in the high desert, and it does not take all day. Give it a look see, and learn a lot.

This was a dream come true for me. Never in my life did I think I would have the opportunity to interact with my favorite animal in the world!! It is such a warm and welcoming environment at Fellow Earthlings. Don’t miss out on this experience!

What an amazing and expert meercat Pam is!! I went some years ago I donated 100 and took three friends. We spent almost three hours first getting to learn about these darling animals and then the meet and greet. You sit on the ground, so don’t expect comfort and chairs, and put gloves on with the mealy worms and up come the little 2 pound meercat duo on your lap and eat away!! But no kissing or hugging. There are only a few, and maybe just Fellow Earthlings, sanctuaries because it really takes a knowledgeable staff to take care of them. As Pamela explained they come from zoos that have too many or I believe injured ones. You must be a true animal person to enjoy this great experience. They are precious little animals and it was a great pleasure to meet them and Pamela! Go early and have breakfast at the one town diner that has homemade breakfast and of course all the Morenga’s locals!!!
