A very fantastic experience. The weather and atmosphere is great. You have everything in one place shops, restaurant, good, etc. The team at the office are friendly and professional. We had all the information at the arriving a d during the stay. I recommend Avoriaz. See you soon.

Excellent ski area with gentle groomed blue runs from the very top to the very bottom. The effort they’ve made in to wide runs, grooming and planning of lifts across the whole ski area makes it a beginner / intermediate dream. The many well-planned red and black runs are awesome. When we went there had been a light dusting of snow, not enough for off-piste snowboarding powder but I can see it would be gnarly in good conditions. The wider ski pass gives you access to an huge area. The horse-driven sleighs are charming and the general french residents / staff very friendly to visitors. The snow cats which carry 18 people packed like sardines and your baggage up the hill to the hotel are exceedingly odd - take a horse carriage instead.

A really nice place to go! It’s a shame that still a lot of people in France don’t speak English. The town is really clean! I would recommend this town!

Pedestrianised town, seems quiet in summer but good play area in the centre for children. Cohesive architecture which is somewhat interesting!

Avoriaz is one of my favourite ski areas. The lift tickets aren't cheap, but there's a reason why. Lifts move fast, and while there are lines on busy days things tend not to get too clogged up. The recent addition of free gas BBQs is brilliant. Something I've seen in Sweden and always thought should be bought to the Alps. More toilets and a few warming huts would be great.

This snow-sure resort has everything you could possibly need for a great skiing holiday. Incredible scenery, a well laid-out and varied town, well-kept pistes and happy lift attendants. At first you think the high-rise developments are a little ugly, but they certainly grow on you, and when covered in snow and surrounded by fairy-lit trees it softens the look. The car-free concept is brilliant, and helps add to the safety and romance of the place. If only we could pre-book the weather it would be truly perfect!!
