Bought a battery from here a year ago. After 6 months it lost its charge although I had been driving less but i now needed to use my car more again. Took it for a drive for an hour. Got home and it was still flat. Gave them a call. The bald guy that works here was aggressively defensive about the battery. Told me an hour drive wouldn't even touch the battery and i needed to charge it properly. This has never been the case with any other car batteries I have had but I did it. The car started after this and worked for a further month or so and then i kept constantly having to jump start it despite driving the car like i used to. Took my car for its mot explained the issue to my mechanic and asked them to check the alternator as perhaps that wasn't charging it. Alternator was fine. He said the battery was dead. It had just been over a year I had that battery. Wasnt going to ring them as the bald guy is horrible to speak too. I got a new battery from halfords and all is well. Wont be using this shop again despite the other guy that works there being helpful.

Do not buy a car battery from this shop. Bought one and it lasted 6 weeks. Charged it up and it lasted a further 3 weeks. My car was checked by a local mechanic over a two day period and was found to have no electrical faults that would drain the battery. Rang up Motorspares and was told they don't give refunds. Took it back and was begrudgingly given a replacement. Got it home and tested the new battery which only had 25% charge. I've used this store for years and always found them to be extremely helpful and friendly so no axe to grind but batteries aren't cheap and if that's what you're after then go elsewhere.
Well stocked and friendly. Been several times and always had the parts.
Very helpful and welcoming staff, knowledgeable and good with fault diagnosis also. Any parts they may not have they will be more than happy to source them at a competitive price for the next day the majority of the time.
