Well worth a visit to find out about sugar production in the 10th century

Interesting description of the history of the sugar cane in the area. De-forestation of the area to provide timber to boil the sugar cane 3 times over. The machines used to squash the sugar canes were big! Some of the display areas were under-lit.

Very interesting museum. Nice drawings to illustrate. A bit more light in the large rooms would be nice: hard to see the items in the showcases.
