We enjoyed a very informative visit to Ron Montero, kindly given by Teresa. There are fewer visitors at the moment due to C19 - but this meant we had more choice of times and the full attention of the guide. There's a lot of information to absorb but Teresa was very good at explaining everything, and the tastings at the end were generous. The products are available to buy at prices matching local supermarkets, so it's a good place to get yours (ours came in attractive presentation bags too).

A small but formidable family run distillery. I was privileged to attend a privately hosted party here where we were given an enhanced tour of the facility and were plied with unlimited drinks and Iberian ham. Their light and dark rums offer quite different, but equally palatable, tasting notes and are particularly suited to cocktails and as a mixer drink. The Montero family are lovely and vibrant. Understandably, they are deeply passionate and proud of their heritage. The distillery is a fascinating place and is well worth the visit to see how rum on a smaller scale is produced.

A very nice and welcoming place! Good guided tour through the history of Ron Montero and how the Rum is made. The staff is very friendly and there is a tasting at the end of the tour. It is also possible to buy their products here. You should definitely take the time to visit.

Definitely worth a visit for the tasting! A \tour\ in English is available here and gives you an overview of how they make rum and some history of the now defunct sugar cane industry in Spain. There isn't a huge amount to see but the guide was very interesting and tells about the Montero family. There is tasting at end of tour and the rum is very good, the 10 year more like a good single malt whiskey it's really worth trying!

We were part of a large group who took the guided tour through this Rum pruducer and we all found it very interesting from start to finish. As the tour progresses you will see some curour looking artifacts that was used during the making of rum. There were also a number of display boards proving information. At the end of the tour you are offered a taste of rum .
