The cottages here are dumps so outdated,uncomfortable & mostly just falling apart!!! The whole cottage was leaning,we had a hole in the floor, the futon (the only place to sit to watch t.v.) was so old & yucky & the worst thing I ever sat on!!! The property was o.k. & the view was great & they were dog friendly but my dog is use to way better digs!! I looked in motel room & it looked nicer but we couldn't have our dog in them & there's no outside space w/ them!!!

Clean basic motel and cabins on Lake Winnepesaukee. Great location for discovering a beautiful area of New Hampshire.
I'm not sure who paid the people here who gave this place 5 stars. Something fishy. I think I'm being generous giving them 3 stars. We stayed in one of the motel units. The good news: Fairly clean and freshly painted, micro-kitchenette so we could prepare our own breakfasts. Now the bad news: Not very well kept up. Teeny tiny bathroom. Both the shower and kitchen faucets dripped. The little box AC unit made a racket so couldn't be used while sleeping, The fire extinguisher was discharged. Every door squeaked. The windows hadn't been washed in years. The curtain was falling out of its track. Parking required maneuvering to get in or out. My recommendation is to pay more and stay somewhere else.
Nice setup. Covers all the basic needs. Well situated to favorite hiking paths. Access to lake from property. Dogs welcomed and alllowed to swim
This place is simply wonderful. It resides in the quiet Winnipesaukee bay of Center Harbor. Surrounded by mountains it allows for a nice, quiet, peaceful stay. There is a boat dock, waterfront fireplace, outdoor ping pong table, sandy beach, nice green grass and the best owner/hosts you could ask for. They are the best. My family has been going annually for many years. Many other families there do the same. I can't say enough good things about this place!
I love the lake
We stayed in the motel section. The rooms are clean and freshly painted, and we were reasonably comfortable during our stay. They also allow dogs, which seems to be a rarity in this area. That said, the property was off-putting from the outside. The grass was overgrown, there were weeds growing through cracks in the pavement, the outside walls were covered in spider nests, the paint was peeling and there is inoperable construction equipment sitting in the front parking lot. To be honest, upon arrival we nearly turned around and left. This is all unfortunate because the whole place could be completely revamped with just a few days of TLC from a landscaper and contractor. Giving the property a little more curb appeal would make it a great place to stay.
