We always love our experience here. Between the family night during Halloween where they have a toned down version of their haunted house.. to the North Walk flashlight tour and the haunted house..we have done it all. We did the North Walk tour with a couple 12 year old boys this year for Halloween and they had an amazing time trying to spot ghosts and claiming to even see one themselves in one of the most notorious cells. Our tour guide was great and was able to keep the boys attention! The educational tour they do for the local schools is very informative and a lot of fun for the kids.

We got a glimpse of parts of the prison during an info-packed historical tour. Our guide Chuck was cool, good with the kids and knowledgeable, as he use to work there when it housed inmates. I truly appreciated how warm and welcoming Chuck was as well as ensuring that we felt included.

The wife surprised me with a visit here on our way to Pittsburg. This was the highlight of the entire trip. Tons of information and history here that the tours show you. So much fun and highly recommend to anyone even if it is out of your way!

This is a cool place! Interesting history, architecture and for those who believe in such things a touch of the supernatural. I mean with 94 executions and 998 murders within its walls and having been built built upon a native American burial ground how can it not be haunted? Lee was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable.
