Guru Shikhar, a peak in the Arbuda Mountains of Rajasthan, is the highest point of the Aravalli Range. It rises to an elevation of 1,722 metres. It is 15 km approx from Mount Abu and a road from there leads almost to the top of the mountain. It is named Guru-Shikhar or 'the peak of the Guru' after Dattatreya, an incarnation of Vishnu, and a cave at the summit contains a temple dedicated to him, plus one dedicated his mother, Anasuya, wife of sage Atri nearby. Really this is a very good place and visit with family.

Nice place to visit. View from every stop along the stairs to the top is awesome. Each one wanting to make you stay and admire the beautiful view and the shops lining the way present an opportunity to stock up on souvenir for the trip. With awesome view and cool breeze blowing by, you can easily spend few hours here and still feel reluctant to leave.

The highest peak of Aravalli mountain ranges. Its mesmerizing and the view is breathtaking. You can do shopping while climbing up or coming down. A great place to wander around.

Very good views but government could improve the quality much much more. Facilities could improve. Management is sleeping.

Temple is good, but maintenance is poor. Better visit in eve time, if going in summers, but please confirm on temple opening times as most of the temples are closed by 4 or 5pm Other than spirituality, the place is only for site seeing from this height. Visiting in monsoon or chilling winters could possibly be the best time for visit.
