I sent my prescription glasses to the store overnight from Southern California to fix a large scratch. They fixed my glasses within a day and sent them back to Southern California overnight. They didn't charge me for the repair or shipping.
I walked in because my favorite sunglasses had come unscrewed. They were so friendly and fixed it free of charge. And they tightened my screws and cleaned lenses, too. Saved my day, thanks guys!
Summary: This is the first time I have to say this in a review (and I feel bad about it), but unfortunately the owner is untrustworthy and was lying to my face - twice - about what the insurance would cover vs. co-pay. Don't trust the shop, they may be trying to rip you off in a major way. Details: My daughter and I went for an eye exam 2 weeks ago, and Dr. Jenny Cheung (OD), who is performing eye exams at this location, I can absolutely recommend. She took enough time to do the exam thoroughly, checked for various potential issues, and explained everything patiently to our kid throughout the process. On top of the professional experience, she is also very friendly and nice. For exams, I can recommend this location, and maybe Dr. Cheung should try to find a better place. For getting the actual glasses, it is the opposite. The shop owner is unfriendly, talks more than he listens to questions, and tried to rip me off. His first quote was more than double the price other shops quoted with exactly the same frame and options on the lenses. When I went back the second time about a week later and asked if he was sure my insurance wouldn't cover more, he lied to my face a second time babbling on about insurances paying only the basics but that I surely wanted something better, so I would have to pay the difference. When I told him that I was pretty sure the insurance covered it, he told me that I can check again because he knows better and basically threw my whole family out of the shop. Don't go there.
