This place gives you complete South Indian Vibes. Not only in terms of their lip smacking food but also with amazingly decorated ambience and great music that’s played! They have various art pieces displayed around the place which are 200-300 years old. Very subtle and classic ambience. Coming to their food, flavoursome is the word. Everything we tried was distinct and delicious! Rassam-o-rivaz: this is a vodka bases cocktail with rassam flavour. What a deadly combination! Loved every sip of it. Panneer Pepper Fry: the paneer flavoured with curry leaves, fried onions and black pepper. The flavours was so subtle yet strong. Fish Fry: Rawas marinated with amazing spices and cooked to perfection. We couldn’t help but stuff ourselves with it. Mix veg Chettinad with Appams: mixed vegetables in spicy coconut gravy. Ghassi: we had the fish ghassi and paired it with steamed rice. Mouthwatering coconut gravy! Bisbele Bhat: it’s our favourite, & this place undoubtedly serves the best we have had! For dessert we had the caramel custard and Payassam. Both of them were super fresh and delicious! Overall the place makes you try some authentic South Indian food & definitely shouldn’t be missed!

The place has authentic south Indian food. I loved the fried chicken and the fish. The fish was fresh and just broke off.. even the parotha was soft and crunchy. You must visit.

The pomfret was awesome. Definitely an option to go for when you visit Thangabali (Bandra). The prawn dish was disappointing. There were barely 4 prawns in that dish. The veg stew was good but it's not a difficult dish anyway. The aappams were a big let down. Requested that they be served crispy but they ended up arriving on the burnt side. I hope the restaurant management takes heed of the fact that the food isn't up to the mark, though it definitely can be. The staff are friendly. The hostess has a unique approach in the way she interacts with guests and that adds a nice touch to the experience. PS: The music isn't obtrusive in my opinion.

Thangabali a beautiful South Indian restaurant which gives u vibes of peaceful south states n its wonderful Culture. They host u all so well it gives a warm n cozy feeling. . “Plz have copper vessel water rather a bottle water” words by their manager. Because dat water has many advantages trust me dats very cool u ll know when u visit thangabali. . •The Lemon basmati rice our main course has started n ya plain rice is boring so we tried lemon rice.... each bits n bites were made perfectly. •The Ghassi prawns dish is up to another level....the gravy was so nice and fabulous with lemon rice...must try this dish if u have a visit. Ya fish is their main speciality. This gravy can be either with other kinda fishes available in the menu. When u reach there tag us n let us know️️ . . . Went to try out some authentic South Indian food at Thangabali restaurant. It is located in Pali Hill area in Bandra. Tried out Mix Veg Ghassi, Nool Puttu (Idiyappam), Appam, Papadam along with Podi Gunpowder, Ghee and three types of fresh chutneys (tomato, onion and garlic) on the sides. Last, but not the least, tried out some Pala Payasam as a dessert. Made using milk and rice, it had the proper amount of sweetness inside the dish. One of the best South Indian food places I have visited till date in Mumbai.

Who doesn’t want a lazy afternoon with some lip smacking South Indian lunch. I am totally mesmerised by this place and it’s heavenly food. It is situated on Pali Hill Bandra. Their hospitality and management is phenomenal. Had been for lunch here. They explain the menu in so detailed that u feel like having each one in the menu. The neer dosa are to try for. This place is specialised for its sea food. Their Starters and the gravy preparation are worth paying each penny. Do try this place for sure.
