I have been engaged with TribesForGood since June this year, when I joined the Young Changemakers Program. I really enjoyed the summer internship, where I got the chance to work on financial inclusion for women. I also cherished the opportunity to perform at their first virtual annual fundraiser. I feel connected with TFG, appreciate their personalised attention and look forward to working on various initiatives with them. I would happily endorse the TFG experience and suggest other young people who are keen to make a social impact, to be on the lookout to work with organisations like TFG! :)

After stumbling upon the TribesforGood website during a google search about what to do during my gap year that would improve my CV and help me make a difference in the world, or at least teach me about how to, I didn't know what exactly to expect. Sure, the website is very descriptive and breaks down the journey piece by piece, by as an Australian, India belongs to the large group of countries that seem worlds away. The team was very patient with me and guided me throughout it all, from the first day after my registration, until after I had arrived back home in Sydney. Was it intimidating? yes! Where there moments I felt overwhelmed by the new foreign environment packed with different traditions, cultures, and beliefs? Initially, yes! It is only on my second day here, where with the guidance of the TribesforGood team that I was able to begin relaxing and truly feel comfortable. The team was well organized and ensured that I never felt stranded, lost or out of place. They answered all of my questions to the best of their ability and occasionally, through their workshops and answers, pushed me, too, to consider various new aspects and solutions to the problems I was introduced to in the Indian Social Space. I recommend this journey to anyone who wants to learn more about India, but in a new sustainable way! I know for sure that I won't begin working in the Indian Social Space as I would miss home too much, but I've been introduced to new ways of giving back including remote volunteering… something I've taken up in my free time and find, not only enjoyable but very rewarding. All in all, I couldn't be happy that my, what once began as, a relatively aimless google search resulted in a life-changing and enlightening week in India's amazing city Mumbai, where I learned, was challenged and grew.

I was a part of TribesforGOOD’s Digital and Financial literacy training modules for low income women program and my experience was wonderful because I was able to teach these women how to operate ATM which was highly beneficial in saving their time as they would not need to stand in long queues to withdraw or deposit money . The program helped me learn key skills like teaching the women about the digital and financial world. The project I worked on was amazing, as it gave me the opportunity to understand the sector better. I’d like to recommend this program to anyone who wants to make a difference but aren’t sure how.

I was a part of TribesforGOOD's young changemakers program and my experience was a digital literacy trainer. During my time there I got to interact with a lot of people and also give back to the community by doing something I like. I conducted and led a train the trainer workshop in which I taught them MS Excel. This really helped me to come out more inclusive and confident in my abilities and I would surely be working with TribesforGOOD again. I recommend this program to anyone who wants to make a difference but isn't sure how.

I was a part of TribesforGOOD’s volungearing program and my experience was nourishing and pleasant! I performed the role of social media strategist for 2 months, through remote work, and it allowed me to develop marketing skills, understand better the role of a social media strategist, and increase my design creativity. However, the best part of forming part of Tribesfor GOOD was the opportunity to work with amazing people knowing that what I was doing would help a better cause. I’d like to recommend this program to anyone who wants to make a difference but aren’t sure how!
