I normally do not write reviews, but the total disregard for me as a customer was really low. Waiting in the drive through line I had time to make the coin change and paid 20.62 on an 8.62 bill. I got back 7. and it seemed to inconvenient the teller asking for my other 5. I also had to ask to get my drink and was asked, "Didn't you already get your drink?" Wow, some serious short term memory issues occurring here. Ok, I can move on from that. I decide to take advantage of the nice day and eat my lunch outside. There were no utensils for the macaroni and cheese, which they normally pack. It wouldn't have done much good , because just maybe there was enough pasta for 1& 1 /2 spoonfuls. It was mostly just a soupy liquid. Hopefully the other customers got a better service today, but I just wanted to relate my negative experience.

Rude, slow, and their basic chicken is the size of a chicken wing. What is this? Never will go here again. I have given them many chances and each time a terrible experience. Messed up my order before. They can't get it right....

John, the manager just might be the rudest manager of any restaurant I've ever been to. Obviously ownership could care less. I have noticed that bad reviews get no response but good reviews get the owners attention... Should be the other way around!! I will NEVER go back....there us a Chic Fil A practically next door. Chic Fil A seems to appreciate your business where Golden Chick could not care less.

Wicked wings are tastiest item in the menu. Hope they keep it forever. Be warned it takes about eighteen minutes for them to make 24 wings. But it comes out hot and fresh for us. Can’t really complain. Wouldn’t want undercooked chicken. If they drop all the wings at once it would lower the temp of the oil quite a bit and result in a poor product. The rolls were fresh too. Excellent rolls.

We were here on July 12th. This Golden Chick is usually pretty good. The chicken tenders often vary in size. Sometimes all are normal sized while other times they are a mix of normal size and deformed nugget pieces. The batter consistency varies too. Sometimes nice and a little crispy while other times the entire tender is mostly crunchy batter with some chicken inside. Prior to COVID-19 we would dine in and depending on the crew the dining area was freezing cold, other times it was just cold. Their green beans are ok. They put way too many bacon bits in the mix and it overpowers and ruins the flavor. I love bacon, but the stuff they add is not great. Their french fries are usually pretty good. The instant mashed potatoes are ok at best. They should make real mashed potatoes. The cole slaw is ok. It could use a flavor boost. The soft serve ice cream machine seems like it is never working. Their ice tea is too weak. The service like any other place is hit or miss, but usually pretty good. We've been coming here for years and will continue to do so.

I have ate at Golden Chicken in Murphy TX for a while. They are getting so bad at customer service. I pull up, place my order. Have to wait for cars to leave to get to the pick up window. I give them my card to pay. After paying, they tell me, "oh, it will be a wait, chicken is cooking". I told them today, why didn't you tell me that before I paid? He said, I thought we had it cooked. He said it will be 10 minutes. 20 minutes later, a rude girl came out and brought my chicken. If all possible, I try to go to the Plano Golden Chicken on 14th. They get the chicken prepared and ready for pick up for the customers. No waiting. No heat lamp chicken. Just be prepared for a wait when you go to Golden Chicken in Murphy TX

The food was good but had problems with picking up an on-line order placed 2 hours prior. Order was for 5:15 pickup. At 5:15 was told catfish takes 5 minutes. At 5:35 was told just a few more minutes for chicken. Received order at 5:40.

The combination of this location and postmates is complete trash. I placed an order for curbside pickup and found out when I arrived that it isn’t curbside, you still have to wait in the drive thru line. What’s the point? My food was ready to pick up in 15 minutes but I had to wait in line for 20 minutes to get it. I do not recommend using this method for ordering ever. The staff is unwilling to work with you on getting you your order faster and when trying to cancel you get this never ending circle of being told to contact postmates and then being told to contact the store. Absolute trash. Never again.
