The gal below, Lindsey, who is one of the managers there was quite rude to my boyfriend and his cousin (both with darker skin) when we went in today. My boyfriend’s cousin was setting aside a bunch of shirts to take back with him to Bolivia this next month and while he was looking for more, Lindsey came up and said, “Can I put these behind the counter?” He said that he was fine and was still looking. Lindsey then said, “I actually don’t want them here. I’m going to take them to the counter” in a snarky voice. After the cousin had moved to another section of the store she walked my me and greeted me with a much warmer tone (the white skin perhaps). Later that evening when my boyfriend was taking pictures of clothing to see what his family in Bolivia wanted, she swooped in telling him that he needed to stop and that it was against some sort of policy. Strangest idea I’ve heard of for a clothing store to not allow you to take pics of the clothes you are thinking about buying. As a former employee of Aeropostale, I used to love this store and the customer service standard they had set. Seeing such prejudiced treatment of my family members apparently because of their darker skin tone and accent are absolutely not acceptable to me. When I called to ask for how I could log a complaint and spoke with Lindsey she never apologized, but insisted that she had used different wording and kept repeating, “well I didn’t say that.” I can’t in good conscious recommend this specific store because of this incident and will not be spending another dollar on anything with the Aeropostale brand/name.

Managers always seem to be talking or always seem to be on their phones. I've only seen one employee actually do work. Every time I come in the store It looks messy and clothes are on the floor. Also the floors are dirty. I wanted to apply but nobody helped me. Very disappointed, would not recommend.

I went in today with a bunch of my girlfriends and we were just window shopping the gal there was super sweet and spent a lot of time helping us out and chatting with us! So I would give their customer service 5 stars, the only reason my overall rating is a 4 star is because I'm not a fan of their styles, they're just much too young, for me anyway! I'm sure they appeal to a much younger demographic! But overall the store was clean and organized so no complaints!

Associate Shannon is single-handedly the reason why I will never shop here. The worst customer service. Aeropostale is likely the peak of her career, destined for low-level retail.
