Fantastic place. The staff was the most friendly and helpful I have ever experienced. I stayed in a few different rooms over a few weeks and each one was completely unique. Breakfast is included and it's very impressive, complete with crepes and croissants fresh out of the oven. The staff helped me find the best option for parking during my stay and even coordinated with other hotels for nights that were fully booked. Location is great, within the old city walls. Plenty of restaurants right out the door and the coast is a quick 5 minute walk. Supermarket and train station right around the corner. Only complaint is that the wifi in some rooms isn't great, but it's a simple tradeoff for staying in what is basically an old castle.

The hotel was nice but the food was super disapointing.
POV while relaxing on newly renovated terrace off the busy oldtown enjoy the view over Lake Murten.
We organised an event here, and the owners were the most accommodating and worked really hard to make our event go as smoothly as possible. Despite the extreme hot weather that week, we had an absolutely amazing time. Would highly recommend this hotel both for events and for traditional hotel stays, the guys are really professional and take pride in providing great service, as they should.
When we decided to stay here for a night we didn't expect a restaurant like this. The food was very delicious and the service was outstanding. Overall an awesome restaurant I can warmly recommend.
Very cozy hotel located within the walls of an old stronghold. Unique architecture inside, old walls come together with new equipment. Good breakfast, great view from the dining room to the lake side. I truly recommend it.
Comfy nice hotel, welcoming reception. Walls on the thin side, but to be expected, old building. Big selection for breakfast (European breakfast). Restaurant in the same building, good for cold rainy days.
Cozy and neat hotel with a nice view from breakfast area to the lake. Rooms are tidy but nothing special. Amenities are bare minimum, suitable for business trips. Main downside is how much you can hear from the room next door (phone calls, etc...)
